About ISAR

The Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry Chapter of the Indian Society for Assisted Reproduction (TAPISAR) was established to promote the advancement and standardization of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) across the region.

Following the directive of the parent body ISAR to initiate state chapters for organizing CMEs and conferences through collective efforts, TAPISAR emerged as the brainchild of Dr. Kamala Selvaraj and Dr. N. Sanjeeva Reddy, who shared a common vision to create a strong professional platform for reproductive medicine specialists in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry. With their initiative, a group of like-minded professionals convened on March 11, 2012, in Chennai, leading to the formation of the Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry state chapter, officially named TAPISAR.

The chapter was formally inaugurated in December 2012 by then ISAR President Dr. Manish Banker. Since its inception, TAPISAR has been committed to fostering collaboration, continuous education, and research among fertility specialists, embryologists, and healthcare professionals in the field of reproductive medicine.

Through its academic programs, conferences, and community initiatives, TAPISAR continues to uphold ISAR’s mission of promoting excellence in Assisted Reproduction and ensuring the highest standards of care for couples seeking fertility treatments.
